Zawiyya and Warshefana forces clash, damaging Zawiyya power station

On 29 July, armed clashes broke out in al-Mayah (29km west of Tripoli) and Zawiyya between the Isnad Support Force of the Zawiyya Security Directorate under Mohammed Bahroun (also known as ‘al-Far’, the ‘Mouse’) and Muammar al-Dawi’s 55 Battalion. The clashes were reportedly sparked by a stolen car and continued through the night to the following day and resulted in the closure of roads between Warshefana and Zawiyya.
