On 30 July, the 5+5 Joint Military Committee (5+5 JMC) declared that the coastal road between Misrata and Sirte had reopened for non-military traffic. On the same day, the Government of National Unity (GNU) Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced that MoI security forces had secured the road.
