On 25 April, Government of National Unity (GNU) Minister of Interior (MoI) Emad Trabelsi spoke on the phone with his Tunisian counterpart Kamal al-Fiqi about the reopening of the Ras Ajdir border crossing. Both emphasized the importance of the border crossing which has a ‘vital role’ for the people of Libya and Tunisia. They agreed the opening should take place ‘as soon as possible’ so that the movement of people and goods can resumed. However, no specific date was set.
