On 3 September, Presidential Guard (PG) forces affiliated with Ayoub Abu Ras, formerly known as Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade (TRB), withdrew from their last remaining HQ in Tripoli. In a deal brokered with the 444 Brigade, PG/TRB forces vacated al-Saadawi Camp and were offered safe passage out of the capital, reportedly handing over a significant amount of heavy weaponry in the process. The PG’s departure follows mounting pressure from the Special Deterrence Force (Rada) for Ayoub Abu Ras’s forces to hand over their bases and vacate Tripoli. Unidentified armed groups also reportedly stormed the homes of PG/TRB leaders including Ayoub Abu Ras, Imad al-Masalati, and Mahmoud al-Qambri.
