On 2 and 3 September, clashes broke out in the Ghout Abu Saq area of Warshefana between Muammar al-Dawi’s 55 Battalion and the 3 Infantry Company, led by Ramzi al-Lafaa. According to reports, al-Lafaa instigated the attack against Dawi. Abu Zuriba affiliated forces from Zawiyya arrived to support Dawi and the 301 Brigade reportedly sent two companies to support the al-Lafaa. Five civilians were reportedly injured in the exchange of fire.
