4 March – 10 March: Alleged ISIS member arrested
On 29 February a Sudanese doctor was arrested in Libya’s South on suspicion of being affiliated with ISIS and planning to undertake a terrorist attack. He is currently being processed by security forces, who suspect he has knowledge of other ISIS cells in the South.
4 March – 10 March: AQIM confirms death of prominent leader in Libya
On 4 March, Egypt executed the former Egyptian Special Force officer turned al-Qaeda affiliate Hisham Ashmawy. On 28 February, AQIM confirmed the death of prominent leader, Abdul Moneim Salem al-Hasnawi aka Abu Tahla al-Hasnawi, in Libya.
4 March – 10 March: French President Macron meets with head of LNA Haftar
On 9 March, Haftar met with French President Macron in France and travelled to Berlin on 10 March to meet with German officials. On 4 March, a high level international diplomatic delegation featuring representatives from France, Italy, and Germany met Haftar at his headquarters in Rajma.
4 March – 10 March: Egypt is training LNA naval troops
On 9 March, the Egyptian Military reportedly completed training a special navy commando unit to assist LNA forces. On 3 March, the eastern-based parallel government claimed to have officially re-opened the Libyan Embassy to Syria in Damascus. Throughout the week, LNA forces shelled Mitiga airport and the neighbouring areas.
26 February – 3 March: Three suspected ISIS members arrested in Sirte
On 27 February, security forces in Sirte arrested three suspected ISIS members. The ISIS cell and its potential network is being further investigated.

26 February – 3 March: Pro-LNA government signs cooperation agreements with Syria
On 1 March, a delegation from the pro-LNA government travelled to Syria where they signed multiple agreements of cooperation. On 2 March, the Libyan delegation met with Syrian President al-Assad. The same day, the UN Special Envoy to Libya, Salame, publicly resigned from his position.
26 February – 3 March: UNSMIL-mediated political dialogue talks falter
The HoR and the HCS refused to attend the UNSMIL-mediated political dialogue talks which began in Geneva on 26 February. The LNA continues to undertake indirect fire attacks on Tripoli.
