In a press conference on 5 February, the Internal Security Agency (ISA) said it deplored and condemned all that is stated in the UN Panel of Experts Report released on 3
February, claiming there are no arbitrarily detained prisoners, only legally detained prisoners. The ISA said it has taken it upon itself to confront the promotion of atheism and intelligence-backed homosexuality, which has angered some countries that support these activities. It said it has succeeded in monitoring and thwarting the settlement of migrants in southern Libya and has monitored espionage activities carried out by international intelligence services, which attracted citizens to provide information and maps on military and security sites after luring them with money. It also said it monitored incidents of foreigners trying to convert Libyans to ‘apostasy’ and adopt Christianity.
