On 25 March, SASG Stephanie William issued a statement highlighting the conclusion of a three-day consultative meeting with the 12-member HSC delegation nominated to participate in the UN-facilitated joint committee to devise a constitutional basis to hold elections. According to Williams, the closing session was attended by the diplomatic community in Libya who engaged the HSC representatives on their ideas relating to the constitutional basis for elections. Williams stated, ‘I am confident that their colleagues in the HoR will soon come to the table. The door for UN- facilitated negotiations is always open.’
