On 28 June, the Libyan Football Federation cancelled the Tripoli derby between Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Ittihad due to the match being incomplete, prompting Al-Ittihad’s management to announce an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), calling the decision unjust. In response, Al-Ittihad fans protested by blocking roads and burning tires at Bab Bin Ghashir, expressing anger over the federation’s ruling.
