Dabaiba signs another military MoU with Turkey in Antalya

On 1 March, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dabaiba arrived in Antalya, Turkey, where he attended the Antalya Diplomatic Forum at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. High State Council (HSC) head Muhammed Takala also attended the forum. On the same day, in his capacity as Minister of Defence (MoD), Dabaiba signed an MoU with Turkish MoD Yaşar Guler on military cooperation in the field of training. It aims to raise the efficiency of the Libyan Army units (the GNU’s armed forces) through specific training programmes.

After signing the MoU, Guler praised the cooperation with Libya in the fields of military and security. He emphasized the importance of continuing it to the mutual benefit of both countries, highlighting the visible progress in all aspects of their partnership. Dabaiba said it is of great priority and importance to enhance the bilateral military cooperation and to implement training programmes to increase the efficiency of the Libyan Army.
