On 1 March, the US Embassy to Libya said that the US Defense Attache and his accompanying delegation had held ‘productive discussions’ with Chief of the General Staff Muhammed al-Haddad, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Salah al-Din al-Namroush, Ground Forces Chief of Staff al-Fitori Ghribil, Navy Chief of Staff Nureddin Elbuni, and brigade-level commanders at various military installations. The US said that it will ‘continue to engage parties in all regions of Libya to support efforts to promote enduring peace and security, unify and professionalize the Libyan military, and safeguard Libyan sovereignty.’
