Al-Lafi visits & reviews training of 444th Combat Brigade

On 3 June, Presidential Council (PC) Deputy Abdullah al-Lafi, together with Military Intelligence Director (and Commander 444th Combat Brigade) Major General Mahmoud Hamza, visited the morning assembly of the 444th Combat Brigade’s Elite (al-Nukhba) Battalion and reviewed the unit’s discipline, readiness, and training programs aimed at strengthening operational and combat capabilities. In his address to the troops, al-Lafi emphasized that building a professional and unified national military institution is one of the key focuses of consolidating security, stability and protection of the State of Libya. Al‑Lafi stressed that the unity and cohesion of the armed forces, grounded in a shared national doctrine, are fundamental to safeguarding sovereignty and defending the resources of the Libyan people. He called for continued professionalism, responsibility, and investment in training in response to evolving contemporary threats to enhance the army’s ability to protect Libya’s security, stability, and territorial integrity.
