On 20 October, Government of Nationaly Unity (GNU) Deputy Minister of Defence Abdussalam Zoubi and Libyan Army Chief of Staff (CoS) Muhammed al-Haddad co-chaired a meeting of the MoD and the General Staff about a joint action plan to reorganize the military units and institutions in the Military Districts and to enhance their performance. Zoubi called for this kind of MoD-General Staff meeting to be held on a regular basis. The same day, Zoubi was received by Presidential Council (PC) head Muhammed al-Menfi to brief him about the latest military developments and this reorganization, while al-Haddad and his Deputy Salaheddin al-Namroush met with PC Deputy Abdullah al-Lafi to discuss the same topics.
