On 5 March, Government of National Unity (GNU) Prime Minister Abdul Hameed Dabaiba held a meeting with the leaders of armed groups allied to him at his home in Hay al-Andalus in Tripoli to discuss the security situation in the greater Tripoli area. This included the Stability and Support Apparatus (SSA) commander Abdul Ghani al-Kikli aka Ghinaywa, commander of the GNU’s Joint Force Abdussalam al-Zoubi and pro-Dabaiba Zawiyyan commander Muhammed al-Baroun aka al-Far and some others.

On 6 March, the Special Deterrence Force (Rada) arrested Ali Mohammed Abdelsalam Al-Rajhi on charges of running misinformation campaigns on Facebook, providing detailed information and a video of his confession. Al-Rahji was apparently carrying out these activities on behalf of Osama and Mustafa Tleesh, armed group commanders who are part of Ghinaywa’s SSA. The original post waslater deleted by Rada, but it doubled down on its accusations against the accused.
