On 31 July, the UN Security Council (UNSC) is due to receive an independent strategic review of the UN Support Mission for Libya (UNSMIL). The review will include an assessment of UNSMIL’s structure, prioritisation of tasks, and the capacity and effectiveness of its staffing. The review will also assess the options for effective ceasefire monitoring by the UN.
