On 26 June, a Tunisian army patrol was shot at by unknown assailants near Remada in Tunisia, close to the border with Libya. One soldier was killed. The patrol was on a routine patrol when it was suddenly ambushed. The public prosecutor at the Military Primary Court in Sfax opened an investigation into the incident.
