On 26 July, residents of Hay Andalus in western Tripoli issued a public statement calling for urgent action to address the growing presence of irregular migrants and foreign labourers in their area. They complained about improper behaviour of the migrants, highlighted security concerns, suspicious gatherings, repeated thefts, including at the local mosque and private homes, and the emergence of drug markets in a public park. The residents urged authorities to intensify efforts to control illegal migration and unregulated labour activity to restore safety and order.
