On 14 March, HoR-appointed Prime Minister designate Fathi Bashaagha, stated that he and his Government of National Stability (GNS) would enter the capital in ‘a few days’, echoing his statement the week before when he attempted to enter Tripoli from Misrata with an armed convoy. This follows reports that pro-Bashaagha armed groups are seeking to gain support from armed groups south of Tripoli with the aim of mobilising on Tripoli again.
