On 14 November, Trabelsi participated in the ministerial conference of the European Union (EU), and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries, held in Lisbon. The conference sessions addressed key issues, most notably combating terrorism and organised crime, exchanging information and expertise, and strengthening security partnerships among participating countries. On the sidelines of the EU-MENA conference, Trabelsi held a number of bilateral meetings with Arab, European, and international delegations, during which they discussed developing cooperation and joint security partnerships.
