On 7 September, the Libyan National Army’s (LNA) Tariq Bin Ziyad (TBZ) 5th Company of Southern Operations announced that it had killed Mehdi Dungu, a senior ISIS operative, during a security operation in Qatrun. Three Algerian and one Sudanese suspected ISIS operatives were also reportedly arrested.
