On 16 March, Libyan National Army (LNA) Tariq Bin Zayid Intervention Battalion member, al-Mutasim al-Warfalli, was shot to the head and killed in Benghazi. On 13 March, another member of the group, Asumi Boubakr Aqeem al-Ashibi, was found dead in Benghazi Street. The identity of those responsible for the killings in both cases is unknown.
