They reached an agreement to reactivate the Souq al-Jumaa Military Council, to appoint an official spokesperson, and to establish an official website for the council. According to the leaders and notables, this initiative reflects a collective effort to ensure security, stability, and cooperation within Souq al-Jumaa and its surroundings.
The agreement focuses on the following key points:
1. Regular Leadership Meetings: periodic gatherings of local leaders to monitor developments in Souq al-Jumaa and the broader Tripoli region will be conducted.
2. Formation of a popular force: a structured force will be established that will undergo military training and strategically deployed at the entrances and outskirts of Souq al-Jumaa.
3. Resource Assessment: a comprehensive inventory of available fighters, vehicles, and weapons will be carried out to ensure adequate preparation and the provision of the necessary support.
4. Promoting Internal Reconciliation: reconciliation efforts among the people and various components of Souq al-Jumaa will be facilitated to strengthen unity and to resolve conflicts.
