On 11 July, acting UN Envoy to Libya Stephanie Koury co-chaired the Security Working Group emanated from the Berlin Process, alongside co-chairs from France, the UK, Italy, Turkey, and the African Union. They ‘explored ways to support Libyan security institutions and stakeholders in achieving lasting peace and stability’ and discussed steps that could be taken to support the Libyan efforts in unifying security and military institutions, building trust and reinforcing the ceasefire.
