On 7 March, the General Director of Ghadames General Hospital, Wisam al-Saadi, reported that medical staff and patients had faced verbal abuse and armed intimidation the night before. Weapons were displayed, causing panic and leading to the evacuation of staff and patients. He said this has resulted in a reluctance among medical personnel to continue working. The hospital management and the General Director called for urgent investigations and emphasized the need to protect healthcare facilities from violence. Due to the security risks, the hospital is limiting its services to emergency cases only.

The Libyan National Human Rights Institution (NIHRL) condemned the armed attack on Ghadames General Hospital. The institution warned that such attacks on medical facilities and staff are increasing in Libya, posing a serious threat to healthcare services, especially in areas with limited resources. Ghadames General Hospital is the only specialized facility serving over 30,000 residents, making any disruption highly impactful.
