On 14 November, the Chief of General Staff of the Government of National Unity (GNU) Ministry of Defence, Mohammed Haddad, met with a Russian General Staff and Defence delegation in Tripoli as a part of the MoD’s attempts to meet with all international and domestic groups to support the military institution. Haddad reportedly stated that Russia has a role to play in unifying the Libyan military while the head of the Russian delegation shared Moscow’s readiness to support the Libyan Army.
