On 1 July, protestors stormed, ransacked, and set alight the House of Representatives (HoR) building in Tubruq. Security forces reportedly retreated so as not to clash with demonstrators. On 5 July, reports emerged of the launch of an arrest campaign in Tubruq, targeting those that set fire to the HoR.
