In Misrata, a couple of hundred people gathered in front of the municipal council headquarters to protest against what they described as the ‘encroachment of militias.’ They specifically named Saddam Haftar and Aqeela Saleh, accusing them of ‘destroying the political process and violating the law.’ The protestors expressed their outrage over the abduction and torture of House of Representatives (HoR) member Ibrahim al-Darsi, viewing it as a blatant assault on the remaining legislative authority. Their demands included the dissolution of all current political bodies, which they labeled as ‘incapable,’ the restoration of state authority, the accountability of those involved in the kidnapping of deputies and activists, the rejection of the militarization of the state, and the refusal to legitimize criminals and smugglers.

A group of protesters in Misrata demanding the overthrow of the Dabaiba government was quickly dispersed by security forces, probably by the (Misrata) Joint Operations Force.
