On 26 August, fighting between Haithem Tajouri’s 777 Brigade and groups affiliated with the Internal Security Agency (ISA) initiated widespread clashes between more than a dozen armed groups throughout Tripoli as pro-Fathi Bashaagha forces supporting the Government of National Stability (GNS) Prime Minister sought, but failed, to capitalise on the fighting to remove Government of National Unity (GNU) Prime Minister Abdul Hameed Dabaiba from power. At the time of writing, 32 people have been killed and another 159 injured according to the GNU Ministry of Health.
