On 28 February, Presidential Council head Mohamed al-Menfi received an international team ‘comprised of elite jurists and specialized experts’, as part of following up on the updates in the murder of Saif al-Islam al-Qadhafi. The meeting addressed the legal and procedural aspects of the case. It discussed ways to enhance technical and judicial cooperation to ensure the full truth is revealed and that investigations are conducted in accordance with internationally recognized standards, thereby strengthening the principles of justice and transparency. During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between al-Menfi and the international team, stipulating the coordination of efforts and intensified joint work regarding the collection of evidence and clues related to the case.
