On 18 July, a Government of National Unity (GNU) delegation headed by Chief of General Staff Mohammed Haddad met with a Libyan National Army (LNA) delegation headed by Chief of Staff Abdurrazaq al-Nadhouri. The meetings took place in Tripoli at Mitiga Airport and Abu Sitta Naval Base. They were joined by both eastern and western members of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC). They reportedly discussed military reunification and how to ensure the longevity and stability of the Libyan ceasefire, and they agreed that a single commander-in-chief for the Libyan military should be named. Haddad is reportedly scheduled to visit Benghazi in the near future.
