On 9 August, celebrations for the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Army were held in western Libya. A military parade took place in Martyr’s Square in Tripoli with units affiliated to the GNU. A parallel in Misrata with pro-Bashaagha militias mobilising en masse. The military parade in Misrata included elements of the Mahjoub, Halbous, Hattin and 217 Brigades.
