On 25 May, the Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Muhammed al-Menfi, issued a decision (PC Resolution No. 588 of 2022) reinstating the Commander of the Nawasi Brigade Mustafa Qaddour, in his position of Deputy Head of the Libyan Intelligence Service (LIS) for Security Affairs. Lieutenant-General Hussein Muhammed al-Ayib had issued a decision to dismiss Qaddour from the role and appoint Colonel Mustafa Ibrahim al-Said the week before.
