Malfunctions in the employee e-mail system were reported.
On 1 April, the Central Bank of Libya’s (CBL) Foreign Currency Reservation Platform was the target of a Cyber attack, a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack. The attack was stopped on the same day in the evening by temporarily blocking non-Libyan IP addresses.
On 3 April, the CBL published details of the attack, noting the platform had been operating normally since the attack was stopped. The CBL said that it continues to strengthen the security of its online platform and emphasized the importance of continuous service and of the safety of the client’s data.
