On 15 May, the Libyan National Army (LNA) General Command reportedly sent reinforcements to the Murzuq Military District in southwestern Libya. They were deployed to support the 129 Battalion, which is tasked with securing the city under the command of Captain Mohamed Ali Sidi al-Tabawi. Reinforcements were understood to have been drawn from the LNA’s 106 Brigade. The Council of Elders and Notables of Tebu in Murzuq issued a statement welcoming the support from the 106 Brigade.
