On 16 September, an unidentified group in Sebha launched a brief RPG attack on the Libyan National Army (LNA) Ministry of Interior’s South Reorganization Force (SRF) barrack at al-Whas’a Street in downtown Sebha. The attack did not result in human casualties nor significant infrastructural damages. Although the attack was not claimed by any group in Sebha, the South Liberation Operations Room (SLOR) welcomed the attack, and said it supports the ‘youth of Sebha’s’ revolt against Saddam Haftar’s militias in Fezzan.
With regard to the border areas, the LNA has assigned Hasan Mousa (aka Kelley), a Kufra Tebu 2011-revolutionary leader and former anti-LNA figure, with the task of reorganizing military structures and bolstering control around the El Salvador triangle and al-Tum border pass. In June 2025 Mousa was arrested by the LNA in Traghen and kept under a house-arrest in Benghazi. He was released in June this year and assigned to an advisory role with the LNA on southern affairs.
