On 20 January, the LNA’s Commander of the Moral Guidance Department, Khaled Mahjoub, reported that the 106 Brigade had arrested members of a gang which trades arms with jihadi groups in Algeria and Mali. The LNA’s arrests reportedly took place after an ambush to near the Algerian border and the weapons and explosive material was seized.
