On 22 August, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Libya to the UN, Taher Sunni, met with the Permanent Representative of China to the UN and current President of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for August, Zhang Jun. They discussed the current situation in Libya and Jun expressed China’s position of supporting a Libyan-led and owned solution to the current crisis.
