On 30 April, a young man was killed by a hail of bullets in Fallujah Street in al-Ajilat. The perpetrators fled. On the same day in the afternoon, there was fighting between militias affliated with the local Stability Support Agency (SSA) and armed groups supporting Muhammed Bahroun aka al-Far near al-Ramha Island in a residential neighborhood in Zawiyya. A member of the Zawiyya SSA was killed. Because of the shooting, a number of schools suspended studies.
On 2 May, the Zawiyya Youth Movement demanded that UNSMIL and the international community intervene to sack the PC and the Dabaiba government, to expel the militias and to organize elections. They called for street protests and for civilian disobedience until this was achieved. On the same day, another young man was killed by gunmen of the Awlad Abu Hmeira tribe, probably from the Nasr Brigade, in Zawiyya. In the evening, a young man was stabbed several times in an armed brawl in Tripoli – Kremiya. He died soon thereafter.
On 3 May, a man was killed with 18 bullets in a family dispute in Tripoli at the Plateau Project. The killer was himself shot and killed a little bit later on.
On 4 May in the early morning, in Zawiyya in a clash over control of fuel smuggling from the refinery an armed vehicle was shot at with RPGs. A member of the crew of the vehicle was severely injured. In the afternoon, an armed group believed to be affiliated with al-Far shot and seriously wounded a man in Zawiyya – al-Harsha. He was transported to the emergency room of a hospital nearby.
During the night from 4 to 5 May, armed groups clashed because of a dispute about smuggling operations.
