On 6 June, ISIS claimed a suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive device (SVBIED) attack targeting a Libyan National Army (LNA) checkpoint at Maziq Gate, near Sebha, which killed four people, including the head of the Sebha Criminal Investigation Department, Captain Ibrahim Abdul Nabi Manna. An unknown number of other individuals have reportedly been injured and three vehicles belonging to the Sebha Security Directorate were damaged.
