ISIS attack in southern Libya

On 24 January, the LNA’s Umm al-Aranib Martyrs Brigade was reportedly ambushed by an ISIS-affiliated armed group between Qatrun and Majdoul on return from the city of Taraghinin in southern Libya. Two LNA fighters were reportedly killed. Later that day, ISIS confirmed it had perpetrated the attack, adding that its fighters had targeted two LNA vehicles with a machine gun.
