On 10 May, a member of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council, Yasser al-Atta, stated that they have received conflicting information that Libyan National Army (LNA) Commander Khalifa Haftar was ‘pressured’ to provide support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), led by Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), but noted they had learned that he had since stopped providing any support. Haftar has reportedly told his Egyptian allies that he was not responsible for any support provided by the Wagner Group through Libya to the RSF, explaining that he has no authority over them.
