On 3 March, reports indicated that the Government of National Unity (GNU) Minister of Interior, Emad Trabelsi, was temporarily detained at the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris before being released again a few hours later. It is understood that he was arrested because his name appeared on an airport immigration monitoring system and/or he had large quantities of cash with him. The GNU has not confirmed the incident.
