On 11 September, the Government of National Unity (GNU) issued a decree to create a new embassy compound east of Mitiga Air Base in central Tripoli. The compound, identified by the Public Property Authority, is intended to house the US, UAE, Turkey, and Qatar embassies. According to reports, 30,000 square meters has been designated for Qatar’s Embassy and 40,000 square meters for the UAE Embassy.
