On 28 June in the late afternoon, a battle took place in the western part of Crown Prince Street (Wali al-Ahed Street in the south of Tripoli) between militias from Zintan and Zawiyya. Three people were wounded. One vehicle was burnt out. The fighting was triggered when a Zawiyya pickup truck opened fire on a Zintani vehicle. Supported by the Tripoli Security Directorate, troops from the 111th Brigade deployed to the battlefield in company strength with armoured personnel carriers to calm the situation, which was successful.
