On 28 May in the evening, fighting with light infantry weapons broke out on al-Bara’im Road (the road next to the sea west of Sabratha), between local militias of the Dabbashi clan and the (Zawiyya) First Support Force of Muhammed Bahroun aka al-Far.
Muhammed al-Dabbashi aka al-Arjoun, a member of the Sabratha militia, was killed in the fighting. During the fighting, part of the Sabratha Forest near the al-Bara’im Military Camp caught fire, likely due to the use of tracer ammunition. A person who was not involved was severely wounded by a stray bullet. After a break, the fighting resumed at about midnight for a couple of hours. The First Support Force deployed a number of armoured vehicles.
On 29 May in the early afternoon there were brief clashes between the First Support Force and the Dabbashi militia in the Talil area (west of Sabratha Forest). Thereafter, the situation remained calm, but tense.
