On 28 January, an assassination attempt was made against the GNU Minister of Justice, Halima Ibrahim Abdurrahman, in the al-Swani neighbourhood, south of Tripoli. Rahman was unharmed. The identity and the motivations of the perpetrators are unknown. The attack was later condemned by the Supreme Judicial Council as an attack on the judiciary.
