Following a visit by UN Special Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily to Benghazi, the Head of Egyptian General Intelligence Abbas Kamel visited Libyan National Army (LNA) Commander Khalifa Haftar on 25 March to discuss the current political situation, especially the status of the Bathily Initiative in light of Bathily’s recent talks with Government of National Stability (GNS) Prime Minister Osama Hammad and the PC-HoR-HCS Cairo decisions.
