On 11 November, Government of National Stability (GNS) Minister of Interior Essam Abu Zuriba welcomed the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Dmitry Korzyuk and his delegation, alongside senior Libyan security officials, in Benghazi. The discussion focused on reviewing existing agreements, strengthening bilateral ties, and identifying new areas for collaboration, particularly in training and the exchange of expertise in relevant security areas. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to joint efforts in combating crime, modernizing security institutions, and fostering peace and stability across the region.

On the same day, Nikolai Buzin, Member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus from the capital city Minsk, said that Libya is demonstrating a growing interest in expanding cooperation with Belarus across key sectors, including agriculture, industry, food production, and military-technical development. Buzin emphasized that Belarus is well-equipped to support Libya’s economic recovery, particularly in agriculture, by offering advanced machinery, strong farming traditions, and expertise in training technical specialists, which aligns with Libya’s need to increase food production and reduce reliance on imports.

Referring to the Man-made River, he said that this project could substantially increase Libya’s arable land, creating even stronger demand for Belarusian equipment and agricultural support. Buzin noted that Belarus has consistently supported Libya through difficult periods and remains committed to its stability, viewing the current engagement with Minsk and Moscow as part of Libya’s broader effort to build political dialogue and find a path toward constructive, long-term partnership, despite the nation’s ongoing internal fragmentation.

On 15 November, Korzyuk and his delegation visited the Faculty of Graduate Studies in Security and Legal Sciences in Benghazi, where they were received by Dean Major General Dr. Khaled al-Faidi.
