On 25 October, during a visit to Istanbul, the Government of National Unity (GNU) Prime Minister, Abdul Hameed Dabaiba, signed two military agreements with Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar. The first agreement is related to the protocols for implementing the military cooperation accord signed between Ankara and the Government of National Accord (GNA) in 2019. The second is reportedly a cooperation agreement on military equipment, border security, organised crime and terrorism, and military aviation training, stipulating the creation of a military cooperation committee. Turkish media outlets reported that Dabaiba also agreed to purchase seventy Bayraktar Akıncı High-Altitude Long-Endurance (HALE) drones.
