On 10 October, Prime Minister Abdul Hameed Dabaiba spoke on the phone with President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas and assured him of Libyan support in this ‘fair matter’. They discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the need to cooperate with all regional and international partners to stop the ‘Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people’, especially in the Gaza Strip. Both stressed the importance of providing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and of ensuring the supply of water, electricity and basic commodities. Dabaiba and Abbas also stressed the need to end the occupation of the territory of the state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital.
